This course follows on from Part 1. T You will continue to learn and develop literacy and numeracy skills and to produce a record of your course experiences in a folder. You will be given opportunities to research topics using computers and the internet. There will be group discussions and debate using positive assertion techniques where you will practise listening to someone else's viewpoint and speaking up for yourself. You will learn to access local services/ facilities as well as to deal with a range of situations when assertive techniques are useful such as medical appointments, interviews, shopping and making choices about housing, holidays and outings. o be able to prepare information to support a discussion where you need to assert yourself with confidence. To develop spoken and written communication skills and understand how to format information appropriately. To develop the confidence to make choices in your everyday life. To complete forms on paper and on line.
