The Becoming a Learning Mentor course might be the way to equip yourself with the necessary knowledge and skills to achieve this goal. You will gain an understanding of the factors contributing to children and young people's difficulties preventing success. You will gain an understanding of the very special skills required to support a child overcoming the barriers to learning and achieving their full potential. Name: Becoming a learning mentor Qualification title: Non regulated Community Learning provision, Child Development and Well Being Qualification type: Assessment You will be assessed in different ways to support your achievement and progress. Some of the assessment methods which will be used include: Setting of ILP Learning Goals. Initial assessment activities re individual levels of course related experience/knowledge Setting of home study tasks to enhance and consolidate learning.. Observation and monitoring of individual participation. Formative assessment of class based learning and completion of home study tasks.
