Film studies - understanding moving images

This 10 week course will introduce you to the basics of film analysis. You will learn how images and sounds are used to tell a story in film and create different effects on the viewer, exploring some of the most famous scenes, soundtracks and genres in film as you go. This course is suitable for those with an interest in film theory and criticism, beginner film-makers and those considering studying media and English in Further and Higher Education.
