This qualification may be mixed with other Level 3 Certificates/Subsidiary Diplomas or AS/A2 Levels to provide access to higher education, or used directly to help secure employment within various sectors, including the legal sector. Students wishing to study this as part of a package of AS/A2 Levels or other Level 3 Certificates/ Subsidiary Diplomas. Three units are taken for each qualification (i.e. three units per year).These are generally completed at the rate of one per term, though may be completed more quickly for some students. Assignment briefs are provided for each unit and daily targets are set to ensure that all work is adequately covered. Assessment for this course is 100% coursework. The units taken are as follows- Certificate - Dispute Solving in the Legal System Understanding Law Making Aspects of Legal Liability Subsidiary Diploma - The 3 compulsory units of the Certificate plus the following three units: Unlawful Homicide and Police Powers Consumer Law Aspects of Property Offences and Police Powers Text books - list will be supplied. Pens,writing paper, folder,memory stick has to be provided. Progression onto higher education to study subjects including Humanities subjects such as History, Sociology, Psychology, Law and Journalism. Employment in careers including legal secretary, barrister, civil service and local government.
