The BTEC Edexcel Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Music (Performance) and the Full Diploma in Music (Performance) provides learners with a programme of learning in Music focused specifically on performance. It will give you a more practical understanding of the vital skills to start a professional career in the music industry or move on to further study, and an insight into employment opportunities available, and if you are already in employment, to move on to a more important position with in the industry. Successful completion of the course will consists of one mandatory unit plus at least one specialist unit plus optional units that provide for combined total of 60 credits. The full diploma (120 Credits) is also offered for those more able to complete course work at a faster pace. The focus of this qualification is to provide students with the opportunity to specialise in musical performance, and specific areas with in this, such as improvisation, composition or theatrical performance. Please note that the units studied may vary to meet local or learner needs.
