This is a work-based Foundation Degree which enables learners to study whilst gaining the practical experience and applying theory to practice. It includes a range of modules, which are relevant to people supporting learning within an educational setting. These include: Tools for learning to develop your study skills, Development of educational polices, Child development, Collaborative Practice - multi-agency working, Supporting the Curriculum - planning and supporting learning, Inclusiveness- supporting students for learning, Assessment for Learning and Action Research - putting research into practice. You will study 4 modules at Level 4 for 1 year and four modules and Level 5 for the second year. You will attend college one afternoon/evening per week for two academic years and be working or volunteering in an educational setting for a minimum of 12 hours per week for the duration of the course.
