C12C94D: The course aims to improve your general communication skills in English. It will prepare you to take the Cambridge First Certificate in English examination (FCE). The University of Cambridge ESOL qualification is ideal for people who want to use English for work or study. It is a Continuation Course for those students who require an additional term before taking the examination in December. This course is designed to improve and sustain your language skills keeping your mind active and alert. The qualification is at ALTE Level 3. (Council of Europe Level B2) You can already use written and spoken English to communicate with confidence. You can hold a conversation on a range of topics and can understand people speaking on the radio or television. You can understand written texts from different sources. If you are unsure of your level, please contact your local centre for further help.

This, in turn, will inform the tutor of your starting point and ensure you get the best out of your course. With your tutor you will revisit the ILR regularly so that progress and further actions can be discussed, agreed and recorded.
