Philosophy and Economics - On Poverty

What is poverty? Is it an inevitable evil? Are all kinds of poverty bad? How did some countries achieve prosperity, whist others remain tragically poor? We will examine these issues from the perspectives of economics as well as philosophy, drawing on some of the worlds greatest thinkers.
