Anthropology is the study of other societies. Myths reflect the traditions and beliefs of different cultures. You will learn about different approaches to anthropology, and hear stories from around the world which illustrate these.Anthropology is the study of other societies. Myths reflect the customs and values of the cultures that produced them. Traditional stories also attempt to address universal concerns. Many types of myth (eg creation, goddess, hero, trickster) recur transculturally. On this course you will hear stories from a variety of countries around the world, and learn about the cultures and beliefs that informed them. Teaching methods: Formal presentation; pair and group analysis and discussion
