The course will provide students with the core technical knowledge needed to design and program a dynamic web site for a client (eg a small business) To introduce students to the client based collection of technologies for producing dynamic web pages, including HTML, CSS, Javascript and the Document Object Model. To teach proficiency in the production of dynamic web pages using server side technologies including server based scripting languages (such as PHP, CGI, Perl etc and database systems such as MySQL. To use these technologies, scripting languages and other tools to implement a design. Your course build on existing competences in XHTML and CSS, students will acquire the core technical knowledge and advanced skills needed to design and program a dynamic web site for a client organisation (e.g. a small business). Students will be expected to acquire and demonstrate a confident proficiency in one or more of the following: Javascript, PHP, MySQL, and XML.
