This qualification course is designed to introduce you to basic ceramic making techniques and will allow you to explore different ways of making and decorating items clay.You will learn hand-building techniques such as slab building, coiling and slab moulding, while experimenting with colour and decorative techniques such as inlaying, mark making, slip decoration and glazing. There will be a series of projects during the course to enable you to practise these skills and build up a selection of finished items which will demonstrate your newly acquired skills. You will learn how to explore creative ideas in your sketchbook and how to realise your concepts and designs.
