Maths GCSE Part 1 Foundation Tier

This is the first part of the GCSE Maths course. The course runs from September to December. You are expected to attend all of these classes. This course is linked to the Functional Skills Level 1 Maths qualification. As well as covering GCSE Maths material during this course you will be prepared for the Level 1 FS Maths assessment. You must take this formal assessment towards the end of this course. The GCSE Maths Syllabus has 2 Units. The GCSE Maths syllabus covers Number and algebra, Geometry and measures and Statistics and probability. Unit 1 -This unit accounts for 40% of your overall final mark and Grade for GCSE Maths. Unit 2 -This unit accounts for 60% of your overall final mark and Grade for GCSE Maths. The material within these units will enable you to be prepared for the Functional Skills Level 1 Maths examination, which will take place at the end of term 1. Practice papers will be made available for you through our Moodle platform.
