This course follows the AQA Foundation Tier syllabus. It is a linear syllabus suitable for the post-16 student. The tier of Assessment is C - G. You will need a sound knowledge of Maths to succeed on this course and you will need to have knowledge of how you learn - your preferred learning style for example - as well as a knowledge and understanding of study skills. There is no coursework. This is a busy and comprehensive written examination based course.The GCSE Maths Syllabus has 2 Units. The GCSE Maths syllabus covers Number and algebra, Geometry and measures and Statistics and probability. Unit 1 -This unit accounts for 40% of your overall final mark and Grade for GCSE Maths. Unit 2 -This unit accounts for 60% of your overall final mark and Grade for GCSE Maths.
