In the media-dominated world of the 21st century, wars are won and lost on television, celebrities seem more familiar to us than real life friends and our identities mirror figures from sport, music and fashion. You will be taught how to analyse the various forms of media that we consume everyday, developing the ability to deconstruct advertising, film, television, radio and the press. You will also undertake a creative project, applying the skills you have learned to create your own media products. Trips to the cinema and industry-related places, such as the Museum of the Moving Image in London, are organised each year.
