Bricklaying Basic

A great hands on evening course which will lay the foundations of your skill. You should be able to tackle those easier DIY jobs in the home or garden and if you want go on to more advanced stages ready to tackle that extension. The course objectives are. awareness of basic health & safety, accurate laying of bricks to a line, safe brick cutting techniques, awareness of brick bonding and the reasons for it, techniques of jointing, and accurate use of the spirit level. Delivery takes place in our workshop at the Langley Centre and involves building walls using lime mortar. Successful completion of this course results in the issuing of a college certificate.
