This Level 2 qualification prepares you for developing your skills in double entry book keeping and to gain a grasp of various routine accounting and commercial processes. You will learn basic costing principles how to use manual and computerised accounting systems and working with sales purchase and general ledgers. The course is divided into five units which will enable you to achieve the defined professional standards. 1) Processing bookkeeping transactions (9 credits) 2) Control accounts journals and banking system (8 credits) 3) Working effectively in accounting and finance (5 credits) 4) Basic costing (8 credits) 5) Computerised accounting (4 credits) Learning will be a mix of classroom teaching individual and group activities tutorials and self study. As an integral part of their study students will be trained on Sage computerised accounting software
