We are offering a range of freestanding professional development modules for teachers of adult learners who have completed the initial teacher training qualification, Award in Education and Training. The modules are also suitable for qualified teachers who may want to refresh their knowledge and skills. Module 4 Functional Skills in Vocational Teaching will be based on embedding English, Maths and ICT skills within vocational subjects. It will support you in enhancing your practice in supporting learner progress by enabling them to develop their functional skills whilst learning your subject. This module is delivered through the blended mode, which would suit a busy professional tutor. It is practice based and experiential. You will have an opportunity to share your practice and resources with others in your group, after which you will receive a CPD certificate from City Lit's Teacher Education and e-Learning department.
