Access to HE (Teaching)

Access to Teaching is a 1 year part time course and upon completion you will be able to apply to study Primary Teaching, Early Years Education, English/Education, History/ Education, English, History, History in English and other similar courses at university. Within the course you could study English Language, English Literature, History and Teaching Studies. You may also have the opportunity to obtain GCSE grade C in Maths or English if you do not already have this. There are no formal entry requirements for this course, as you will have a detailed interview with the course tutors to ensure that you are looking at the right programme of study. If you are considering this course to access primary teaching at university then you will also require GCSE at grade C or above in Science.
