Not to know what took place before you were born is to remain a child forever The study of what happened in the past is vital to our understanding of the present. The A2 level Early Modern History course provides an opportunity to study aspects of British and European History from within the years c. 1469-1873: including Spain c. 1469-1598; Britain 1625-1660; and coursework on either France in the 17th century or Britain in the 18th century. A level Early Modern History is assessed by two exams and a piece of coursework. The exams involve writing essays and answering document-based questions.
