Mathematics complements a whole range of other subjects. You will gain knowledge of a wide variety of mathematical techniques, and the skills that you develop in problem-solving and analytical thinking are recognised as being highly desirable in numerous career areas. The College has a suite of four teaching rooms equipped with networked computers, data projectors and interactive whiteboards and also specialist mathematical software. A variety of teaching styles are employed and additional workshops are available to support students. The Maths Academy is also strongly recommended for students wishing to progress onto a degree course in Maths, Engineering, science based subject or similar. Students complete 3 units in the first year and these are externally examined.
