This is a vocational course that focuses on the uniformed public services such as the police, armed forces and the fire service, and a range of topics such as Psychology, Sociology, PE and Outdoor Education. It is useful both in terms of moving on to Higher Education or employment, with increasing opportunities existing within the public services. A variety of activities will be used to reflect the structure of the units and to enable you to get a real feel for the public services, for example discussions, guest speakers and practical activities. The Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma is studied for three blocks in the second year after successful completion of the 90-credit Diploma in year 1 and is equivalent to 3 A levels.
