The course is aimed at those with a serious interest in music, and well developed practical skills. It involves written, theory and aural work, in addition to composition and performance. If you are interested in exploring the techniques behind the music of composers as diverse as Bach, Mozart and Stravinsky, then this is the course for you. Your skill as a performer contributes 40% of your overall marks. Students are assessed on: • Music History - Listening and writing in a summer exam • Composition - Coursework • Performance - Practical examination assessed by an external moderator
