This apprenticeship framework contains the eleven mandatory units for the diploma including communication in health and social care, health and safety, duty of care, the role of the health and social care worker and safeguarding individuals. You then have a choice of optional knowledge and competence units covering different areas of health and social care such as supporting person-centred approaches, advocacy, healthcare activities and clinical procedures which allows you to tailor the framework to suit your job role. In addition you will study employment rights and responsibilities, personal learning & thinking skills plus be required to take Functional Skills in both English and maths if you do not have GCSE grade C or equivalent. You must achieve all elements to be awarded your apprenticeship. We welcome all enquiries and will be happy to give you further advice and guidance.
