The ultimate enterprise experience - this programme is built around supporting you in setting up an running a micro business over a period of four months with the opportunity of having a Young Enterprise Business Adviser to mentor and support your progress. You will also have the opportunity to take a Young Enterprise Level 3 exam at the end of the course that requires you to call on your own business experience. Up to 40 UCAS tariff points are available for those students who successfully complete the exam. The Company Programme - You will work in small teams and set up and run a micro business while being supported by mentors. Over the year you will have the opportunity to: Raise real finance by selling shares in your company Open and use a company bank account Carry out market research Work with your team to create a business plan Develop, Market and promote your own produce or service Trade with the public Manage the company finances Take part in local Young Enterprise trade fairs. As part of this programme you will be competing with other schools and colleges in the Company of the Year competition. You will also take the OCR Certificate for Young Enterprise qualification that has been designed to recognise the understanding and practical skills you have developed by participating in the enterprise programme.
