You will study eight units including sport leadership and the community; introducing children to sport disabled people; sport and fitness; first aid; national governing body award; organising and running an event. You will lead three different community groups including, primary school children, disabled groups and secondary school children. You will need to complete a level one national governing body award and an 8 hour first aid course. You need to have a keen interest in working with others and leadership. This course does require large amounts of commitment outside of college. The course now gives the student 30 UCAS points towards higher education.
