The Personal Progress programme focuses on developing students' levels of independence, personal and social development, and their Maths and English skills. Students benefit from a project based approach, developing skills through planning and taking part in events, Horticulture, Media, Arts and Crafts, and Catering and Hospitality projects. Students gain independence through trips out into their local community, using local facilitates such as public transport, leisure centres and supermarkets. Students will work towards a destination which is agreed between them, college staff, and their parents/carers. This could be independent living, making a contribution to their local community, and/or supported or paid employment.
