With reference to the various countries in the Spanish-speaking world, a range of topics will be studied under the general headings of youth culture and concerns, lifestyle, health and fitness, travel and tourism, environmental issues, education, and employment. Students will develop more advanced listening and reading skills in a variety of contexts, whilst finding out about the cultures and ways of life in Spanish-speaking countries. You will learn to communicate with confidence and increased accuracy in written and spoken Spanish, and to this end the study of Spanish grammar is also an important part of the course. The study programme is supplemented with weekly oral classes in small groups with a native speaker. You will also study independently in the Languages Self Access Centre, which is fully equipped with books, study guides, magazines, and computer-assisted learning resources. Studying Spanish at this college offers the exciting opportunity to meet and interact with Spanish native speakers who are studying here on an International College programme.
