Upholstery

You will gain an understanding of upholstery techniques from beginners to advanced. During the course we will aim to cover basic upholstery skills including learning to recover or re-upholster your own furniture, modern or antique, cutting and stitching by hand techniques. By the end of the course you will have an understanding of basic upholstery and be able to work to a professional standard in this practical class. You will need to bring an item of furniture to upholster. A hand-out with additional information will be sent out after enrolment giving details of necessary equipment you need to bring with you, it is advisable to telephone the college before purchasing materials.
