Level 3 Certificate and Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care (VRQ)

Successful completion of the Certificate in the first year and demonstration of the qualities required to effectively work with in a health and social care setting will allow you to progress onto the second year Extended Diploma course. The CACHE Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care provides the knowledge, understanding and skills for those interested in a career in the Care, Social Care or Health sectors. Learners on this course are in college for three/four days each week and in a work placement for one day each week. Being in a placement will give learners the opportunity to gain experience in a real work environment; putting into practice what has been learned in the classroom. Successful completion of the course will allow learners to gain access to a wide range of degree courses or to progress directly into employment.
