This course provides the main vocational education and training needed for people employed as technicians or assistants in hospital or laboratory work. It is student-centred with a very practical bias. Areas of study include: Cell Biology; Physiology; Biochemistry; Lab Techniques; Molecular Biology & Genetics; Genetics; Numerical Techniques & I.T; Pharmacology; Project; Environmental Management; Infectious Diseases. There is an emphasis on work based learning, whilst the content and underpinning knowledge links theory to practice. There is also a focus on enhancing skills and competences relevant to the HNC to develop you as a professional.
