This course is designed to combine the requirements of industry with the theoretical background of the principles involved. Options are available which reflect the needs of both students and employers. Learning is through a mixture of lectures, tutorials and task-based learning. Core units are in the following areas: Electrical and Electronic Principles; Analytical Methods for Engineers; Business Management Techniques; Engineering Science; Engineering Project; Engineering Design. Plus 4 optional units. Extensive use is made of computer modelling and simulation techniques and an emphasis is put on practical applications throughout.
