This programme will help you acquire the skills and confidence you need to develop your career in child care in a wide range of settings. For any career involving work with children and young people you need a qualification. Whether your dream job is as a child-minder, supporting children with disabilities and special educational needs, or running your own nursery, a Children's Care, Learning and Development Apprenticeship is a vital step. An Apprenticeship in childcare provides an opportunity for you to gain recognition for the skills you have already got, learn new skills and gain valuable qualifications at the same time. Our Apprenticeship programme allows you to combine paid on-the-job learning, with additional training and 1:1 tutor support from our highly experienced staff. This is provided at our modern purpose built training centre in Bolton and/or on the employers premises across Greater Manchester. The Apprenticeship in Childcare consists of the following components: Children and Young Peoples Workforce Development (Level 2 Diploma); Children and Young Peoples Workforce Development (Level 2 Technical Certificate); Functional Skills Maths Level 2; Functional Skills English Level 2; Functional Skills ICT Level 2; Paediatric First Aid if necessary, Induction Standards.
