The hospitality and catering industry is continuously evolving to adapt to the constant amendments to regulations. For those who work within the industry it is important that they are aware of these changes, while also having an understanding of how the procedures and practices are carried out. If you own or run a food business, it is your responsibility to ensure that your workforce is trained in the correct disciplines of food hygiene and safety. There are many legal complications that the owner of a food business may be presented with if it does not abide by the set standards for food hygiene. There are strict laws to guard against consumers eating unhygienic food. The level 2 certificate in Food Safety in Catering is for everyone who works with food commercially (ie selling food products) must have a food hygiene certificate. Having one assures the public that you know how to prepare and store foods properly and safely. This course has been designed to give staff an appreciation of the fundamentals of good food hygiene principals and practices.
