Bricklayers work with many different materials and tools, using various techniques, to produce creative structures and buildings. To be a bricklayer you will need to be practical, able to work at heights and enjoy working outdoors. The Level 3 Construction Diploma allows you to further develop your skills and knowledge, enabling you to work to an advanced level. To be a qualified tradesperson you will need to complete the NVQ Level 2 and Level 3 in your chosen trade. If you are under 23 and have relevant employment, you could follow the Apprenticeship route. Units include: Safe working practices Information, quantities and communicating with others Building methods and construction technology Carry out structural and decorative brickwork Repair and maintain masonry structures Erect complex masonry structures
