Entry requirements

Students will work side by side on their own personal projects and receive individual tuition at each stage of their project. Students will work at their own pace, and should bring in a small item of furniture such as a drop in seat or pin cushion seat as a first project. As well as your chosen piece of furniture, you will need to bring in a small hammer, a pair of pliers, scissors, notebook and camera or camera phone in order to record your work. Most Specialist materials are usually availble to be purchased at class.A small charge of approximately 6.00 per term is made for tacks and string. Apart from pens and notebooks please do not buy books or equipment before the start of the course. Details will be discussed at the first session.. Please ask before buying large pieces of furniture as there is limited storage space available in the centre and we cannot accommodate sofas or settees.
