Diploma in Performing and Production (Music Performance)

UPDATED 20150601 07:22:02

This course will provide you with an introduction to the skills needed to be a successful musician and composer. Students will be given an insight into the workings of the music industry, and receive an opportunity to conduct research into the different genres and artists that have shaped the development of popular music toAP1. You will learn repertoire from the 1950s to the present AP1, for instance; as well as develop keyboard playing skills, and compose original material in both a group performance context and working with Logic software. You will be assessed through live solo and band performances: so excellent levels of attendance and teamwork are required. Students are required to actively participate in performances at live public events, outside of college hours.
