It provides specialist studies which are directly relevant to individual vocations and professions in which students are currently working or in which they intend to seek employment. At Level 4 your studies will include; study skills, basic mathematics, engineering design, business management techniques, engineering science, mechanical principals and mathematics for Engineers. At Level 5 your studies will include; design for manufacture, project management, stress analysis, engineering test and measurement and materials engineering. There will also be a work-based module for Level 4 and 5 and at Level 5 you will be asked to produce a work-based project. The course offers a wide range of learning experiences which cover a comprehensive range of technical units. Some of the modules you will study: - Mathematics for Engineering - Engineering Design - Business Management Techniques - Engineering Science - Work-based Project - Stress Analysis - Engineering Test and Measurement This course is offered in Partnership with Oxford Brookes University, Faculty of Technology, Design and Environment. Most of the students will be on day release from their employment. The Foundation Degree is designed to equip students for a technical or management career in the industry. It will also provide specialist studies which are directly relevant to individual vocations and professions in which students are currently working or in which they intend to seek employment. The students will develop a range of skills and techniques, personal qualities and attitudes for successful performance in working life. The Part Time route to this qualification will run on 1 day per week for three years (FHAG308P), and the Full Time route will be 1.5 days per week for two years (FHAG306P).
