Animal Behaviour and Welfare, Foundation Degree - Full-Time

This course is designed for people who are wishing to enter the industry or who are currently working and wish to develop their career potential. It has been written in partnership with the School of Life Sciences at Oxford Brookes University and in consultation with leading local animal industries. The course will develop themes in animal behaviour and welfare. Modules will include practical units, scientific knowledge and skills, a grounding in business principles and will also focus on the legal and ethical issues related to working with animals. Work placements for a minimum of 30 days are an essential part of the course where students will apply theoretical knowledge gained in the classroom to the practical care of animals. The course is taught purely at the Common Leys and Witney Campus at the College and there are additional travel costs if travelling from Brookes Halls of Residence to Witney.
