Introduction to Early Years Education and Care, Level 2 CACHE Certificate

This course covers all aspects of working with children aged between birth and five years, including supporting play and learning, children's development, equal opportunities, the role of the childcare worker, health and safety, working with parents, providing safe and secure environments and professional skills. There will be a mixture of group activities, discussions, some lectures and practical activities. (Practical activities and tasks undertaken in work-place settings will link theory to practice). You will complete 250 hours in work placement settings. You are assessed through a mixture of assignments and portfolio tasks, as well as direct observation within the workplace.
