The course will cover the following areas including; aspects of health and safety, promoting a positive impression and how to advise and consult with clients. You will also learn how to shampoo, condition and treat the hair and scalp, cut hair using basic techniques and how to style, dress and finish hair. You will also be taught how to change hair colour and how you can promote additional services and products to customers. You will also gain certificates in Functional Skills in English and Maths and a BTEC Award in Work Skills. You are required to purchase a professional salon uniform, equipment and text books which will be discussed with you at your interview. Financial help is available if needed.
