The Level 2 vocational qualification is for those with more individual responsibility and who may already have previous hospitality and catering experience. They can take up to 15 months to complete. There is a huge range of occupations within the hospitality and catering industry, with job roles spanning a variety of different work places. Hospitality is a fast paced industry to work in, with a requirement to constantly meet the demanding needs of customers. Work settings could include: restaurants, hotels and holiday accommodation, cafes, pubs, and contract caterers or even schools, colleges, hospitals and large businesses where canteens are nearly always present within the organisation. This is available as part of an apprenticeship.
