This course is intended for near beginners and potters with limited experience. It will cover the basic skills of hand-building, an introduction to throwing, glazing and decorating techniques. By the end of the course you can expect to be able to do the following; • Recognise different clays and the appropriate glazes • Use a number of different building skills • Understand the progress of work through pottery • Plan and make some individual pieces • Take home some finished work About the tutor: tutor is an experienced teacher who knows that clay brings out the creative side in everybody. She enjoys spreading the word (and the clay) to as many people as possible.
