Those taking the certificate and diploma will need to be working in a role that allows them to demonstrate those learning outcomes relating to practice in their day to day work. Those taking the qualification could be: (Teaching Assistants) Full or part time, Permanent or temporary, Employed by the school or local authority, School-based or peripatetic, Working in a maintained, none-maintained or independent school. To achieve, the Level 3 Diploma in specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools, learners must achieve 32 credits in total from the Mandatory units and 12 credits from the Optional units. 40 credits achieved must be at Level 3 or above.
