This practical, work-related course aims to build on the Level 2 course with more analytical content. You learn by completing projects, practical tasks and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands. You will take three core subjects: Contribute to work place good housekeeping Ensure your own actions reduce risks to health ; safety Maintain positive working relationships. You will also take five specialist units: Diagnose and rectify engine and component faults Diagnose and rectify chassis system faults Diagnose and rectify auxiliary equipment electrical faults Inspect vehicles Identify and agree customer vehicle needs. You may be required to continue to study English, maths or IT as part of your course.
