BTEC Subsidiary Diploma In Health and Social Care (QCF) (Level 3)

We're still not charging for Disclosure Barring Services (formerly CRB) checks in 2013 This is a one year course covering nine units and leading to; on successful completion; the 18 unit Extended Diploma; tailored to suit those wanting to go into Higher Education in a Health or Social Care related field. Typically those who complete the course choose to go on to nurse training or become social workers. There are also a range of other health related professions that can be studied following the completion of the course such as psychology; criminology and teaching. Predominantly there is a substantial amount of science related subjects and those which have been suggested by local universities as conducive to the needs of the industry. Some students will work after completion or take a year out to travel before deciding to embark on a higher education programme. The Extended Diploma course is equivalent to three 'A' Levels. Ofsted said of Health; Social Care and Early Years in April 2011 Teachers are very experienced and enthusiastic and Care; guidance and support are very good.

Entry requirements
