Music Engineering and Production Level 3 BTEC Diploma

What will I study? This course is aimed at students who wish to follow a career in production or sound engineering and related industries. You will have the opportunity to study sequencing and sampling, sound engineering, general musicianship, the music industry, live sound and DJing, as well as music theory using professional industry software packages, including Logic Pro, Pro Tools and Traktor. Your talents will be showcased during performance opportunities both in and outside of the College and in the production processes of the College's own in-house record label. Although the emphasis is on practical assignments, you will need to complete written assessments in the form of evaluative log books and rehearsal diaries and contextual and business studies.
