Awarded by City and Guilds, this introductory work-based programme is ideal if you have little previous experience in the horse care industry. You will gain a good solid foundation in basic horse care from which to progress onto further courses. As this programme is work-based you will not be required to come into College, instead one of our work-based learning assessors will visit you in your place of work to support and assess you at regular intervals throughout your qualification. Examples of optional units include: Groom and wash horses under direction Lead and control a horse for inspection under direction Ride horses in an enclosed area under supervision Prepare a stable for a horse
