This course is ideal for people who are interested in making a career out of floristry and will provide the opportunity for those who want to work with flowers to obtain a vocational qualification by means of full-time study. It will enable you to develop your practical skills reinforced by the theory of floristry. You may have some knowledge and basic skills in the floristry industry and want to increase your floristry skills and take on more responsibility. But previous experience is not compulsory. This course also builds on the Level 1 Diploma in Floristry to enhance your basic knowledge and practical skills, enabling you to become a practicing Florist. Example Modules/Areas of Study - Processing of cut materials and pot plants - Introduction to art and design florists - Plant processes and planted designs - Hand tied and presentation floral designs - Funeral and sympathy designs - Design and construction of floral arrangements - Simple wedding designs and accessories - Displays of floristry goods - Introduction of working in the floristry industry - Process, cost and evaluate floral designs - Function decorating using floral designs For the Diploma in Floristry, you?ll learn both in a learning environment and on work placements in the floristry industry.
