Children, Families and Community Health Foundation Degree

The course comprises 16 modules for the Foundation Degree. The first four modules make up the University Certificate of Professional Development and give 60 Higher Education credits. This comprises the following modules: Research, Study Skills and Personal Development; Human Body; Differences and Diversity in Britain and an Introduction to Developmental Psychology. On successful completion of these, you will study the additional Foundation Degree modules. These modules include an Introduction to Management; Community Health and Well Being; Social Context of Family Life and an Introduction to Child Development. After successful completion of Level 4, you can progress onto Level 5 of the course. The Level 5 modules are directly linked to those at Level 4, including Sociology of Health; Developing Leadership; Safeguarding Children; Parenting and Family Support; Work Based Practice; Development of Public and Community Services and Early Years, Health and Community Research Studies.
