The Extended Diploma is a well-respected course with an outstanding track record of students entering employment or Higher Education, as it is accepted as an entry qualification for some degree level courses. During the first year of this course you will complete the units for the Level 3 Diploma. In the second year a further six units are taken to gain the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Agriculture. The first year provides a thorough grounding in the agricultural industry. It enables students to understand technical and management aspects of animal and crop production and to carry out a wide range of practical tasks on the farm. The second year focuses on deepening students’ understanding of the technical and management aspects of animal and crop production and enabling them to further develop practical skills. As part of the course, training towards a range of certificates of competence can be undertaken to enhance career prospects.
